Family, did I choose you or did you choose me? No matter, I am yours and you are mine and it will always be.

busy busy busy
Here comes another one of those mass picture posts again. I decided to put it as a slideshow so that it didn't take 20 minutes to scroll to the bottom of the page. Anyways, we have been busy here doing lots of fun stuff trying to pass the time til Daddy gets back. Every Wednesday the kids have a half day at school. There are a lot of fun things to go and see around the town we live in. Oak Ridge has a fascinating history!! We decided that on wednesdays after I get the kids we are going to go and see what Oak Ridge has to see. Some of where we have gone is the American Science and Energy Museum, the Children's Museum, the commemerative walk and the Friendship Bell (I forgot the camera that day). Bonus points for anyone who can correctly tell us why Oak Ridge Tennessee is called the "secret city". Also, a week ago was fall break (I've never heard of it before either) the kids had off school the week of Halloweeen so we decided to take a road trip. First we drove to Michigan to see where my mom grew up. We visited my Aunt Carol, Uncle Wally, Cousins Heather, Rachel, David and Jennie, all of their cute kids and the E.R. I decided it would be fun to come down with pneumonia for the trip. Next we headed south to Ohio. First, we stopped at the Kirtland Temple. I had been there when I was a kid but had never taken my children. It really is beautiful. We were the only ones there that day and got to really look around. Then we traveled to Eric and Aimee's house. On the way we stopped in amish country. I love shopping in their stores and the country side is absolutely beautiful. The kiddos had a blast with their cousins. We went trick or treating and got lots of candy for me.........uh I mean the kids. I also had to make a stop by the local wal-mart to pick up some (about 24) packs of Skyline Chili mixes. MMMMMMMMMMM so yummy and you cannot buy it anywhere else in the country. Sunday morning we loaded back up into the car and make the trek back to Oak Ridge. We had a great time but it went by way too fast!!
